New Directory - Directory Bandwagon

Ok, so I jumped on the directory bandwagon. As with all sites it is a work in progress so comments/suggestions are welcomed. The site is not new per say as we had a "design" wing to our business that we acquired years ago, but no longer use. The site is http://www.kingbloom.com and has a PR4 currently. You are free to add URL's, as well as suggest categories. All submissions are manually approved.

I will submit some sites.

Just a quick warning be carefull how fast you grow it in the beginning.
I had one directory barred for growing too fast (50+ per day).
It took me a couple of weeks to get G to readmit it.

Also the dir shows footprint of a standard script which is frowned upon by G.

The script is not frowned on by Google at all, This is a bit of a misinformational rumour. What in fact has happened is that Google has removed what it considers to be duplicate pages on sites, and many people who used this and associated scipts created thosands of empty catgories that were susequently dropped.

I use this script, and it ranks high for loads of phrases, is spidered almost instantly by the engines. I really recommend it.

As to Google and the script, I agree, it is not frowned upon, ie., the script per say as Old Welsh indicated. In any event I have seen it in use on several sites and liked the very clean/basic look and feel it had. There is something to be said about simplicity

Yeah I too just added my dozen or so sites Hey start a directory and that's what you'll get - all high quality and good content/directory builders though. Good luck and nice design!

Thanx a bunch. Added about 200 or so new sub/sub categories tonight and a some php code that shows how many sites and categories are listed, as well as a recently listed link... I think that is it for today
