Nice site, a good spin on the ever-popular niche. 2.45 ejunkie commission excludes any PPC marketing, but maybe it would payoff in conversion rate from an email campaign. Looks like you did your homework with the site, tho. Good aff page. One suggestion - while the concept seems on target, the image on the cover of the book is too dim.
hmmm. i doubt the 'currently featured on yada yada yada...' actually works. i hear it reduces conversions actually.
Thanks for the comments. I'm interested if there's an actual writeup on the "featured on" language reducing sales. I haven't seen anything to that effect, yet.
Just speaking from personal experience. Those that notice, and actually care, about the "featured on" tag will do an actual search on the engine. So if they see "featured on CNN" they'll go on CNN and try to find real articles through their search feature. Then when they don't find anything but ads they get pretty annoyed. When you tell someone you're featured they're expecting real reports from credible resources. When you don't deliver they start to suspect a scam. You're not lying by saying you're featured because you do have ads on their engine. But what you claim and what the visitor expects don't match, which can hurt your credibility with those that check. Should split test with and without, I would be surprised if there was a significant difference in conversion. But you never know...
