One option to consider would be to post a project at DesignOutpost.com. The way it works is that you post requirements as well as the amount you're willing to pay. Several independent designers then "compete" by submitting their designs. Most designers will also revise/improve their designs based on feedback you give them. You only pay the winner. I used this service a few months back. I had submissions from about 5 or 6 designers. I'd use them again in the future.
