Just come here after i saw article which my cousin write about this new dash-com domains. It looks like now you can have all super domains like car-net or sex-com or funny-com by registering it at dash worlds, it is an UK company. Now i m not sure if this will be new boom on internet, but if this domains are real, then i m sure sex-com is worth millions, its most probably already taken, but there are tons of other good valuable domains, like slots-com, recently slots.com got sold for millions... Please if anyone have try this let me know, i m very interested but i seek for opinions, will this work? And does - is better than . or at least equal? If you are interested in article read: http://www.swr24.com/new-released-dash-domains Here is link to a search: http://www.dashworlds.com/src/search_basket.php?P=search_basket It looks like sex-com is free. I just registered and it looks like they are free for 1 year. People are registering like crazy, all good domains are taken, but i took sexy-com
This is fake. To work with your dash-com domains you need browser plug-in. Other users can't see your dash-com domains.
yea, you need browser plugin, but imagen if in future every browser will have this by default, can then -com be worth more?
Most super domains are already registered with and without dashes in the middle. The idea of using a browser plugin is either new and ran unsuccesfully from, new level domain registrar? some years back, providing subdomain-like domains ("new level") and names with foreign characters, none of which was fully working without such plugin, only supported by Internet Explorer.
downloaded dashworlds app it works ok for me on FF and IE. tried register google-com yahoo-com and you-tube but someone took it Found that tube-you is available not quite the same tho Wonder whatelse i shud try
It appears too far fetched to have browsers include this plug-in by default. I doubt of it getting any success as people would find it confusing and a bit too much to handle. As if having all different tlds was not enough, how would people handle 'dash' in place of 'dot'? Regards, RightMan
Yes perhaps you are right but then so much is changing with apps becoming more common now I think maybe something can happen in time esp as anything with a com in it (dotcom dashcom?) seems to have value. Just in case i reserved a few (alright a lot) of domains that might come in useful some day. No problem for me as they are all free Also for your information, when i first tried a dashcom domain after downloading the app I went to the test site dashworlds-com which worked ok. Best was that i found i did not need to put any http or www. I just enter the domain dashworlds-com in the browser and it goes automatically to the site. One other thing I think it is early days because although it works for me (i use xp ff and sometimes ie) plus it was also ok my brothers vista I was told by a friend that it did not work on the mac Regards too
I haven't downloaded the plugin and the domains are working perfectly in Firefox. It just seems a little strange that they're allowing people to register all these domains completely free.
Wow I don’t know how you did that. very impressed as i was sure you cant see these domains without the app/plugin (unless some isps are working with dashcoms?? or icann and I dont think so at the moment) otherwise I think you must download the plugin Anyway thanks for the info. just in case something is happening i think i better register one or two more domains. OH **@@?! someone took microsoft-com. whats going on. some people are not playing fair
Do not pounce on the trademarked names as they would not yield any goodies. If and when, if at all... these names catch the world's fancy, the respective companies would be ready with their law suits to get their registered names! Regards, RightMan
There are some good domain names with dashes. I suppose you will be able to have the same good domain names.
Thanks RightMan your are of course right! So i was told, it seems to be a good idea to stick to verbs and combinations. As I think even slightly incorrectly spelled (on purpose incorrectly ) registered marks may not be a good idea either. Have a nice day PS although re other thread on domain names here (max length dotcom alowed), i see someone has taken domain gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooogle.com Thanks SiberForum am going to look for some equiv interesting dashcoms with dashes
