New custom wordpress theme for my site, please review

Please let me know what you think of this theme I wrote. This is the first theme I wrote mostly from scratch - my previous ones were complete modifications of existing themes. This theme brought my queries down from 56 to 23. Was going for a clean professional look, nothing extreme. Please let me know what you think, and don't be afraid to (constructively) criticize.

I just love it it is so clean and tidy with eye soothing colors.

Maybe the links in sidebars should have a different color so that we understand it is a link.
deep blue or something. nice work.

Awesome job on this theme. I love the earthy colors. Very pleasing to the eye. Large text as well which is important.

Are you going to make the theme available to the public?

 

Thanks for the compliments, glad you like it. As for making it available to the public, not now as I want my site to be unique. But when I decide to make a new theme for my site, then I'll release this one.

I like the placement of everything, I don't like the font, and the sidebar is a little too big and the advertise banner kills.
I like it overall.

 

Fair enough. I agree the ad banner is big but it's standard leaderboard size.

 

Good, generating very good traffic. But, the images used are very big.

 

Do you mean the images in the posts? And actual size or file size is too big?

 

not bad! But, I think it is too simple theme...

 

well be very honestly the theme is very coooooooooool!

 

General speaking, it is a nice site .
But it is a bit sharp/tough, I suggest you have some round corners to make it soft .

 

In my opinion u should remove that "ADVERTISE HERE" image in the header. The rest looks great.

 

But that's an ad placeholder. Once someone buys that ad from me, their ad will be up there.

 

The colors are good but the logo is not clear and looks old, try to change that.

 

If i am honest the site has pro's and con's too it, i agree with a previous poster about the font selection and the bulky navigation. But this is all stuff that can be changed easily. 3/5 how it is for me right now, but i think id goto 4 if the fonts were more pleasing. Rob
