I need a new logo for my Theatre Academy
The old logo can be seen at woodlawnapa.com
The name of the academy is
Woodlawn Academy for the Performing Arts
The slogan is passion4performing or #passion4performing
I would want a version with and without the slogan/hashtag
I like the old logo; however, it needs to gel with the logo for the main theatre which can be seen at woodlawntheatre.org
We are doing a redesign of the exterior and need to incorporate both logos, and they have always been so different. I wanted the Academy logo to be bright, fun, modern, but also with a hint of the educational aspect of theatre arts training. The new logo should have all those features, yet match or coordinate with the colors of the main theatre logo and preferably have an art deco feel (since the theatre is a historic art deco theatre). All the logos and designs you see on both websites were designed by me for the most part...so I know how to design but this has stumped me. I'm looking for fresh insight. I will be changing the colors in the apa site based on the new logo so don't worry about that. And ...go!

That's very nice! Maybe a little too similar to the main theatre, especially with the background and general shape the same, and the letters need to stand out a little more but that's easily fixable. I like the theatre seats and the star, and the tagline at the bottom!

How about now, I changed the stripes from the background for a gradient shade to see the star stand out a bit more, and change the similarity to the main theatre, also I made more visible the writing, adding a grey gradient to it.

its nice. The colors are wrong, and those masks don't seem to fit in to me, they seem a different style. Also it's more performing arts than just theatre which is similar but not identical

nice but not art deco or unique enough. I know I didn't put it in the original description but now that I'm seeing these great designs I think I am really looking for something with a more interesting shaped like these attachments, but not just with the name below but incorporated into the logo. I don't want to give too many examples because I really want new ideas but here is what I am thinking. I love the top of the marquee in the 332 even though it isn't exactly art deco but it could be modified. I really need to stick to the art deco time period, as it is a historic theatre and the remodeling, rebranding is really playing that up. 1930's Broadway. Also, the text has to be sans serif to fit the deco style.

Great job but i'm not a fan of the masks. They don't play into the deco era.

I see where you are going with the art deco feel, but the colors are all wrong :(
