First I'd like to say that everyone is putting great effort in. A lot of the entries are starting to center around a rodeo shop only, and that wasn't what I was going for. The purpose is to give information about a rodeo company that runs events in a general area. The rodeo company will also have a store, so that's where that part came in. The store itself will only need mention on the homepage in few places, as stated in my original post (perhaps just a "Featured products" section or something similar) procrusher #1 - That is almost a direct copy of the TM layout I posted. I can't use that. procrusher #2 - I loved the colors and the sense of photography/professionalism this had. If it were more detailed and functional as a homepage (with some store elements built in) you'd have a good entry with this one. noobdesigner - I really liked the colors and the layout. Unfortunately this is centered around a store (see above comments). The cowboy on the bottom also feels out of place. jeezy - This design is better, but it feels like it is going for more than one type of design. Parts of it are smooth and professional (the middle) while the rest is textured and a bit more personalized. The red glow in the background feels out of place, not sure why that is there. The bottom also has hard to read text as the middle did before. I really enjoyed your textures and the background, but some things such as the search bar and newsletter area would take it too far. With a little editing, this could be a really good entry. Kurtis - I liked how you went for a professional feel to the rodeo, good job. Unfortunately this is also too centered around a store (see above comments). I think if you took a few aspects of jeezy's design, namely the usage of textures and such (in moderation), you would have a perfect mix of professionalism and style. sandstorm - This would be out of place for a rodeo company. Look at my original post for templates I liked. Also look at a post after that I made with more URLs I thought had good designs. jackie- I love the style! Unfortunately this too is centered around a store (see above comments/original post). I think if you worked this into a design more geared towards a rodeo company website you'd have an excellent entry. stardesign - I like the colors/simplicity. This too is centered around a store design (see original post/above comments). The background seems out of place. For everyone: I really liked the level of professionalism of this url. If it was a bit more simple, this would be a great layout for me to use. I urge everyone to make changes and resubmit entries, they were all good and I'm quite pleased so far.

George- You have all the time in the world. I'll keep this open until everyone has a chance to show me a design/improve upon it until needed.
You mean rodeo company as in they provide the stock for rodeos, bring the pickup men and all that, right?
jackie - Basically what http://pbrnow.com/ does. Puts on real events, contestants come compete, fans watch, vendors will be present, and so on.
Thank you. I got it now. lol Am I getting closer? For the record, I rarely do layouts because they take so long. But I have to say this is the most fun I have had designing in a long time.
jackie you nailed it! Really fantastic job there! If you have any ideas on improvement you can go ahead and spruce it up. Some things I thought of: - won't have need for a mailing list - featured products area may be a little too simple (I'm not sure- perhaps see what you can come up with if you ant)
eranet - this is still mainly about a shop- please read all of my reviews. I was also looking for a design with more flare, such as that of jackie's.
Thanks for the feedback. Made the products stand out a little more and traded the mailing list for news feature. Can all be changed, of course, if you don't like it.
jackie - looking good! I encourage any edits you may have in mind from now until the end of the contest. jnjn - Please read my previous reviews, I do not want this focused on a store. EDIT: For some reason someone gave this thread a 1-star rating. I don't know if it was someone trying to get others not to enter this competition or what, but I have had previous contests like this and have paid out. I encourage those who are familiar with my previous contest to give this thread the appropriate rating so more designers enter. It was not very sportsman-like to do such a thing.
thanks for the feedback.. here's some quick tweaks..also can you mention perhaps of the main body block contents? like Latest events, Top videos, News Updates, ads etc.... or what do you want on the body to display to make it not look like a store for you.. -will be very much happy for any modifications. regards, Jr
