So for the pass couple of months, I've been adding new content to my website constantly doing blogs and articles on a regular basis. So far I am doing a couple of other things on SEO side to help out with the traffic but i was wondering what are other people's content strategy for an information website besides blogs and articles. Appreciate the help much, thanx.

In the sense of frequency, I'm terrible about updating. :( But as for other content ideas, it would depend on your niche a little bit.

If it would work for the topic of your site, you could always move into other areas such as podcasts, video tutorials, webinars, online courses, e-books, reports, etc. :)

I am thinking about putting up a forum and hire some writers to write some original indepth content to my website but just not sure what else I should put on there right now. The ideas that were presented was considered but after another look at it, we are limited to certain resources and doing video tutorials, podcast, online-courses would drain a lot of it at the moment.

How are people's website content development going? Do you guys use combination of blog, articles and company info to update your content or you build it upon a forum or such? Any input would be greatly apprecaited. Thanx.

I do all of the above, depending on which site it is. ;) I think it's good to have a mix in most cases... this way if one area flops as far as monetizing it goes, you have other features/methods to back it up.

A good way to go is to look at a site that's already doing well and see what they are doing.

Look at how their content is organized, what it consists of and the frequency of updates.

The only trick is use is QUALITY of the content and making it nice for the reader. I don't have SEO friendly content I have user friendly content. And I try to be relaxed and sometimes a bit funny to capture my audience, while giving some ideas I have from my experience.

Depending on your industry you could do a few different things. The most important to me is the frequency of updates :)
