Okay, I am new to SEO sure ive always done a little SEO here and there but never for a highly competitive keyword (Typically a few back links and you where good and the hardest keyword you would rank on page 2 for but who cares ad words was so cheap.) Well this time I am trying to do a bunch or organic white hat SEO reaching out to blog owners asking to do guest posts etc. My question is dealing with my on site blog. I am currently doing 1 post per week and I plan to always maintain this (I have a few unique articles in a mysql database that will auto post through php based on the date to avoid the blog getting neglected) But I am curious if I say post 10 new blog posts this week would it hurt my SEO they would all be original unique well written content. I just wasn't sure if slow and steady really made things look better or if good content in a rush was better. Thanks look forward to your ideas
Google knows everything, once google picks up on your automated posting pattern, then who knows what google will do. google does not like anything automated. If you are only posting 10 per week, then why not just save them to draft then post when ready. you should always keep automation off the table where-ever possible. Making 10 posts week will not hurt you. how many posts do news sites make in a day? Google wants to see your content, however, i would not just go dump it out there; Even if you made 10 posts a day, google is fine with that... google wants to see high quality, however, if your posts are like 100 words, then that could be problematic, as google could see that your content fits under the "thin" category.... as long as you are updating your blog on a regular basis, then google will keep stopping by to see what you have, so if you post 10 per week, then great... there are sites out there that post 100's or 1000's in a day, however these are like mega sites that have a team of writers and editors that work for them...
Okay awesome and what I meant to say is doing like 10 as a dump. So I will avoid doing a dump And the automation only kicks in if the blog has not had a new post within 2 weeks then it waits a random amount of days (between 1-10) and posts one of 5 backup articles once it runs out it runs out its only there as insurance unlikely it will ever be used.
I think random would be better then if it auto posts at a set time, day, hr of each day, week or month. however, if it is random, then I think that will be must better, and difficult for google to pickup on a pattern.
