New computer

I'm on about a $1300 budget max. If I want to spend any more than that, I'm getting the 24'' iMac. Plain and simple.

Can anyone help me find a really nice laptop or desktop (Desktop must be 22''+) for a good price?

 

It depends on what you wish to use it for really. I mean do you want a graphics machine or a gamer?

Oh, sorry. Not a gamer at all :] No graphics either, just a solid computer for webmaster needs.

 

Then you can get a good one for $600-700.

Desktops have really come down, you might as well get a laptop. 2008 is supposed to be the first year laptops overtake desktops.

 

Vista or xp? Everyone knows my views on this one lol.

Is Vista really that bad? Like if you didn't want to play games or anything, just code and do most of your stuff on the web not directly on your comp.

I have Always had a 3 day turn around with these guys on systems that are preconfigured. On the front you can get a 22" lcd for 219.00 after rebate.

If I buy a mac it'll be an iMac.

 

For what you are looking for you can go way under $1000 and get a good solid machine. Providing you do not want 187 gigs of ram and the fastest 87 core processor out there. I prefer AMD to Intel which cut costs also.
