I have found forum links to be good for spidering but not indexing. In other words, yes it will send the bot round but it won't index until it gets proper links. Last weekend I've aimed some co-op ads from another account to it so I'm confident it'll be done soon. I've also submitted to a couple of directories. But thanks for your willingness to help.
Don't mean to hijack the thread but I have had sites spidered and indexed within 72 hours of having them in my sig. I would think with the amount you post you would have similar results. Regardless, good luck with your new weight when you get it.
To unjack the thread appropriately, the Coop FAQ is a good example where it was spidered and indexed fast but deindexed in its entirety - probably due to the lack of link diversity (my sig plus DP posts only). The FAQ now has co-op weight to it as well so this one too has been addressed.
SEbasic has spiced up (read deleted the crap template and replaced it with a fantastic lay-out) the FAQ. No need anymore to grab your 'zoom-out' glasses or to install that old mouse with the huge pirate ship wheel like scroll button. It's all up to spec now. I fixed some broken URLs and all aspects apart from odd-scenario troubleshooting has been addressed. It's updated to reflect the latest installation procedure as well. Judging by the steady stream of (a couple dozen a day) visitors it appears it's still a useful resource. Thumbs up to SEbasic for the cool design overhaul! PS The FAQ is open to link exchanges with SEO related sites as well. PM me to do so. Too bad it didn't get any PR though...
Thanks i was a complete newbie too. But have now joined and i hope to set things up right away. Thanks Again!
No idea what you're talking about... Reminds me though to update the FAQ, it's untouched for several months...
LOL the post I quoted didn't bring along the original quote. Somebody commented on the reason they call you TOPSY
Well, I applied the law of averages and from my vantage point I only saw you noticing my post. Sorry for any confusion in my REP COMMENT that you have posted in public. Since REP comments are in question per the above, this is what I received for one post off-topic: " stupid post, stop bumping old threads, n00bie "
My site is PR5. I can see that my weight is 28 and i joined one month ago why i can't see any referrals?
