New ClickBank Product Launch - But I See A Problem

There is a new product that is being launched within ClickBank which I am thinking of promoting, however, I noticed something a little off. There is a pre-launch offer that enables users to get a "preview" of the product which is a great marketing tactic, but here is where I noticed a problem.

When you download the preview and read through the e-book preview there is a call to action at the bottom to get the full version but the link is embedded with the original authors ClickBank ID, which if I understand correctly (I may be wrong...new to ClickBank) the ClickBank tracking would overwrite the original cookie and any sale made would go to the author even though the original traffic came from me.

    Am I wrong?

If the link is just the normal hoplink and you already loaded the cleint with your cookie it should work fine, and the affiliate should get credit. However you always will run into those one or two sales that get lost because people clear cookies and such.

You may want to ask the person with the product if they can rebrand a copy of the book with your affiliate link in it. If they are worth working with they will do this for you.

Some publishers are just greedy, so don't be surprise if something like that happen. But If you are not sure about this issue, I would recommend you not to send the visitors directly to the vendor page.

And If this is really a pre launch and you really want to be apart of this pre launch, here is what I think you should be doing:

1st Step- Build A Main Landing Page. On this landing page talk a little bit about the product and what it will help you accomplish or cure or etc..... And then write something like that. I know you are really impatient to get your hands on this product but it hasn't been launch yet. I talk to my good friend(The publisher) and he assured me that the product will be officially launch on" Date And Time". He also told me that the "product" will only be available to the first " any numbers" people. Then the price will increase. And this is where you also ask them to Sign Up To The Product Official List, so you can let them know when the product is finally launch.

Step 1 will help you build a list my friend. And when this product finally comes out, you can just send an email and watch. You can also offer them 2 bonuses when they sign up to the list.

Step 2- Now that you have your landing page, don't just seat there and hope that everything is going to work for you. I want you to build 3 squidoo, 3 hubpages and 3 bizsheets on the product.

1st Squidoo- "Product Name"- Learn More About "Product Name Here"

2nd Squidoo- "Product Name Review"-Read This "Product Name Review" & Learn More About It Here

3rd Squidoo- "Product Name Scam" Find Out If " Product Name" Is Really A Scam.

At the end of your squidoo lenses, tell the visitors that the product has not been launch yet and send them to your landing page or squeeze page. You and I already know what they will find there.

Then repeat this step with your 3 hubpages and bizsheets.

    3rd Step. Ezine Articles.

Write 6 articles. The first two( Product Name). The next two( Product Name Review) The last two ( Product Name Scam).

Then link the articles to your squidoo, hubpages, bizsheets and Landing page. You should at least link 3 articles to your landing page.

4th Step- That's right you are not done yet- Keyword Research

I don't know what your niche is and I doubt you are going to tell me it. But I want you to do some keywords research on this niche.

When you find the best 10 or even 20 keywords from this niche. Start writing articles on them. And when your articles are approved by EA, publish them on squidoo. Don't do it with Hubpages because they will catch you. All articles should be link to your OWN and I repeat OWN landing page.

5th Step- Blogging. That's right you are going to be blogging my friend.

Create a blogger site- Just pick one- "Product Name" Or "Product Name Review"

Create A freeWordpress site- "Product Name" or "Product Name Review"---------90% of chance this wordpess will be delete.

Then all the articles that got approved on EA, publish them on your blogs and link all your post directly to your Landing or Squeeze page.

    6th Step- Bookmarking.

I want you to take 2 or 3 days. And start bookmarking everything. Articles, landing page, blogs, squidoo, hubpages, bizsheets and etc.....

Then if you feel you can still do more work, just keep on writing articles and link them to your site.

-Your Main Landing page must not be a free site. Why? Because if it's not your site, it can get shut down for any reasons at any time. Domain Name is not expensive, so get yourself a site.

Conclusion: If this product is really a good one and if you do follow these steps, when this product finally launch, you will see the results. If the product doesn't sale at all, suck it up and repeat this process with a new one.

Don't know how to build a list yet, Join Aweber. (My aff link).

Don't know where you can find free bonus........shot me a PM and I will help you on this.

At least you are taking advantage of it but instead of selling it to newbies, why don't you apply it first then add your own steps, then come up with a better e-book.

If the cookie belongs to you and it is left on the prospect's computer, you will still be credited for the sale even if the links belong to the original authors. Try it yourself. First, visit your own hoplink, then using your browser, type in the full url of the website (no hoplinks) and try to make a purchase, you will see your affiliate id at the bottom of the ClickBank transaction page.

Sounds sketchy to me... I would actually email the Merchant to the Clickbank team for them to have a look at. They are pretty quick at spotting any fishy business and either straightening it out, clearing up the misunderstanding, or removing the merchant.

I see what you are saying, but it is not a blank hoplink in part of the publisher. It is his personal affiliate hopcode in the free preview of the ebook.

Basic set of events as I see it...

    - Send potential to publisher site via whatever method I market
    - The potential downloads the preview version of the ebook with call to action at the end of it for the full version
    - Call to action link actually contains publisher hoplink and not mine

If I understand the rules, then the last hoplink gets credit, eliminating me from the fold

I will contact ClickBank just to be sure, but I do not want to ruffle any feathers if I am totally wrong. I did a little research and am seeing a lot of similar patterns from other "new launch" ebook offers as well - is this a trend?
