New CJ User Questions

Discussion in 'Commission Junction' started by mwgr5, Jul 13, 2007.

I just signed up for CJ for the blog listed in my signature. I signed up for about 8 related affiliates and have already been rejected by 3.

I was wondering if I am violating a rule, or if I am just being auto rejected because I am a new user with no CJ affiliate record.

My main concerns were if I was being rejected because my site is a Blogger blog, and if I was being recjected because I currently have an ad from a different affiliate program through linkshare on my blog.

    Thanks for the help.

Most likely, advertisers are not rejecting you because of other ads on the page.

    Reasons for automatic declines:
Publisher is from a country that the advertiser does not work with.
Publisher is a new publisher, or has fewer than X earnings bars (each merchant can decide their own criteria).
Publisher has the special/incentives description section filled out (cash-back sites, incentive sites, etc...).

Typical reasons for rejections after manual reviews include:

Publisher is from a country that the advertiser does not work with.
Publisher is a new affiliate, or has fewer than a certain number of earnings bars.
Publisher uses a promotional method not allowed by the advertiser (email, search, software).
    Publisher's website looks like crap.
Publisher's website is a banner farm.
Publisher's website has little/no content, or is under construction.
Publisher's website is a blog (certain large publishers do not want their ads on sites with user-generated content).

The best way to figure out why you've been declined is to contact the advertiser directly. Usually affiliate programs list a contact email, but if not, use the CJ Mail feature.

    From above:
The best way to figure out why you've been declined is to contact the advertiser directly. Usually affiliate programs list a contact email, but if not, use the CJ Mail feature.

Only the advertiser can tell you why you were rejected.

Mind sharing which advertiser this was? Some affiliate programs have a bad habit of not responding to affiliate questions.

I am the director of marketing for www.everyday-wisdom.com we have been rejected by advertisers. Sometimes if you wait a few weeks and apply again they will accept you.We also use Linkshare. Good luck.

The really hate the auto rejects. I think they should clearly state their terms and conditions etc (as some dont) so people know why they were rejected.
