Hi, hope someone can enlighten me :)

I'm brand new to CJ and opened my account earlier today.
I am at the process of choosing my banners but wonder what goes in the field 'SID' on the page where you get the HTML code? I want to make sure I type the right thing in the box :)

Also what do the PID and AID abbreviations mean ?

Ive looked through the help section but can't see any details :-/

    TIA

CID – your unique client account ID with Commission Junction. This number is visible at the top of the CJ Account Manager when you log in.

PID – this is an identifier given to each site a publisher lists in their account. This number can be seen in the HTML code of your links on a publisher's site. The number is used for tracking banner placement.

AID – this number identifies the actual link (banner, text, etc.). This number can also be seen in the HTML coding of your links. The AID is used for tracking performance of individual links.

I strongly recommend you to this site cju.cj.com

The SID is for advanced tracking. You can leave it blank with no adverse consequences. Here's an excerpt from the CJ Help file:

There are other uses. You could use the SID to track the results of different ad campaigns, for example, or different links on your site.

But if you're not using advanced techniques like these, just leave it blank.

If you're using the general links that they give you then you probably won't need to do anything with the SID and PID, just use the link code that they give you.
