There's a new Christian Ad Network at http://Christian-Ad.com. Lots of good Christian advertisers and new publishers daily.

good for you. I'll give you my friendly opinion though and reason I will not use it: imho it's wrong to mix religion with business. Money doesn't have a color, race or religion, nor should it discriminate. When I see a service labeled like that I suddenly don't feel proud to be a christian any more. I have friends (both irl and online) who are not, and discriminating them makes me feel sick. Sorry.

pitagora, I understand and respect your feelings. Before starting this up, I went through the same ethical dilemma. While doing market research, I discovered that there were many Christian websites looking for Christian content instead of "lose weight" or "credit card offer" ads. These sites are looking for an income source to continue to promote their message to Christians and non-Christians alike. I identified a gap in the market and am filling it.

Look at the Christian music and Christian book industries. They do not give their products away. Our advertisers are looking to sell their products and services to a targeted audience of Christians to build up their Christian life and help spread the gospel to all corners of the earth as is our Great Commission.

As a Western Christian myself (though I don't exactly live in the West any more) I just get a bit worried about just how big a business Christianity has become. I don't necessarily think it's wrong, I just wonder how we got here from a handful of believers sitting round a table, sharing everything they had, to a multi-billion dollar business, from Christian books to Christian plumbing to Christian aerobics.

I see where you're coming from though - Christian publishers want to be sure of the content of ads that are appearing on their sites, that they do not promote values that are in contradiction with their own. Maybe this niche kind of PPC and other advertising is a potential future market...

have you read your own rules on the site? You accept sites that are not religion related, as long as the owner is a christian.

here is a quote from your faq:

ouch! That didn't sound right. Do you see now why this bothers me? You are talking about spreading the gospel and about discrimination in the same time. Next thing you'll hear from your users is 'white power' :p

Lol. I wonder if my Muslim friend is allowed to join? And how is it checked if you're a "true Christian"?

Let's make an atheist ad network!

My personal opinion on this isn't good I'm afraid.. I don't think it's right to put an ad network out to an individual religion alone... Christianity its self states we are all equal, all god's children... So why are you only allowing it to a certain category? Woops.

I don't think it's a good idea to mix religion with money.. It provokes too many high opinions.. Good and bad..

    Just my two cents.
