A few minutes ago when I tried to login to adsense, I was shown a new kind of screen. The screenshot is in the attachment. Its a kind of wizard for account unification and security, or so they say.

    Anybody else seeing this ???

Hm, I haven't gotten that screen yet. Everyone will probably get that eventually though.

They've been hinting at that for a week or so in the little green tip boxes.

They want you to be completely assimilated for better tracking. This means you'll need a gmail account.

I'm assuming the next phase would be penalties for using MSN or Yahoo search engines *sigh*

If you already access with a gmail account, you won't get this.

Hasn't this been around for ages? It pops up if you login to AdSense with an email address other than gmail.

Other members on this forum were talking about it increasing security issues though as if your email account gets hacked, the hacker will also have access to your AdSense account etc...

    Yes!

One account to rule them all, One account to find them, One account to bring them all, and with the GMail bind them!

With one gmail password you could get access to blogger, adsense, email (which could likely lead to other passwords), and any other app Google offers.

In a way it's worth setting up various gmail accounts, but then, that is, or likely will be against the ToS.

I had it. You are being asked whether to consolidate your current gmail account to your adsense account. I was using a different email before so i said yes. Now, I use my gmail account to login

Thats funny, I use my gmail account to sign into adsense, that means am already assimilated into the google borg collective, so no point in showing me the screen.

Yeah, I noticed that too... but I just skip and wait for now. Looks like google wanted to integrated all of their products.
