If there really isn't any other product like this yet then I am surprised. I think this product will have a lot of potential. How to build a computer is something people will definitely pay for.

You are of course competing against the free tutorials out there. But with an attractive sales page including pictures and videos, I really think you could make some money off of this.

I would change the headline to "Professional Computer Builder reveals SECRET on how to build your own SUPER desktop and save HUNDREDS!" or "Professional Computer Builder reveals SECRET on how to build your own desktop the RIGHT way and save HUNDREDS!"

It will make your product seem like the safer and more intelligent investment

Yes, I am competing with the free tutorials, but they thing is that they do not offer everything. I feel that there are not many guides that teach people when RESEARCHING the parts to buy. There are lot of free guides on how to build the computer itself, but I strive to go into more detail.

I will also (as mentioned above) be putting a video tutorial on how to assemble your computer.

On top of all that, I provide lifetime support so customers can send a list of parts they're going to purchase and have it approved by me to make sure it is compatible! I am always up to date with the parts so when new chips come out, I will alert the customers as well as updating the guide constantly! That is why I thought it was a great idea to create this guide!

 

That actually sounds great! That goes along with the "build your own desktop The Right Way" phrase. Of course, you don't have to use those exact words though.

You are right about the free tutorials. Most of them only actually show a reader how to "assemble" the computer and do not go into details about the specific parts or reasons for using them.

I think your sales page needs a bit of work, lots of colors and different fonts on the page which I'm not too sure about.

The ebook cover itself doesn't look very good, you should get that redone.

As for the idea I think it is fantastic, I would love to be able to build my own PC so I think as has been mentioned if you tidy up the page, jazz it up a bit you could be on to a winner.

If you turned this into a video course that would be even better, perhaps an upsell to the video course?

Sample videos of you building a PC on the sales page would be good too.

I've actually got a few ideas spinning through my head now on how I could promote this.

The problem with video course is that there are so many variations on the computer parts that I cannot cover them all. In the videos I'm working on right now, I cover the basics and fundamentals of computer building that applies to every single computer that you build.

I think this could have potential even for those people that might want o simply do minor upgrades.

I would reccommend compiling a separate guide as an added bonus about upgrading your old PC to the latest gaming specs / faster ramm for less than half the price etc..

plus how to get free business grade anti virus software etc..

I just think you need to add a few more things as part of the package so the net is cast wider with broader appeal, but I am sure it has potential.

I would also mention something like Michael Dell and how he started was similar etc..

That's fine but how are people who are looking to promote your product supposed to review it if they don't have it?

I guess this means I can't promote it as I'm not going to B.S a review of a product (yes I've done it in the past but no more) that I haven't purchased or seen/read.

Good luck with your product though, I think it has a lot of potential!

 

Also if you could make some simple videos with step by step then it would be killer.

 

Darn you for taking my idea lol. I have been building my custom gaming PC's for years, but never got around to doing a product. I agree with some of the other posters, about getting the site redone with some nice graphics etc. This product has huge potential message me when things are done and you have done some preliminary testing and I will throw some good traffic your way.

 

I also suggest that you show the slash price graphics from $127.00 to $47.00..but that is a huge discount. Show more points to prove the price is worth $127, like the cost of video production, testing parts..etc....

Again, I will add the video when they are done within few weeks at the latest! A major update to ebook is coming soon.

I really like 2-4-k idea on widening the range of customers by adding upgrading to it. I will probably create a quick report to it and add it to the bottom and show that it is a "bonus".

Sorry for the inconvenience! Most vendors do not give out free copies of their own guide until after few sales. That's what I have noticed as an affiliate. Some do not even give their guides out even if I have sold 50+ of their products! You can guarantee that this works, but if that is what you believe in I am sorry to hear that.

Good luck buddy! Thing is that building your own PC using new parts is slightly more expensive than a ready-made desktop that usually comes with an offer.

There are tons of offers in most shops across Europe and U.S that sell ready made desktops as offers..

This ebook might be great for those that would simply like to learn how to assemble their own systems or upgrade them and why not learning some new skills for a better paid job.

 

You need to change your page alot. I suggest the following:

• Change the header to a centrally focused one.
• Ignore the whole $$$ saving. Focus on making their PC extremely fast and amazing (because people who build pcs are generally technically inclined nadwill buy it on that )
• get rid of the crappy boxes at the top and replace them with pictures of AMAZING PCs that people like you and me would drool over
• dont make it technical - make it sexy with amazing pcs

Right now, it looks like ur trying too hard to drag them into the sale, and people don't like that. You really need to say "heres what I got" and u need to make sure the thing you have is what they are looking for.

Do you think someone who builds their own computers will want to do it because its cheaper or because u can make WAYYY better machines for a similar cost?

 

Definitely true - don't use cost as a selling point, because right now you can get a very fast PC for very little money. Right now if you tried to build a computer that you find a bestbuy for cheaper, you couldn't do it.

However there are very few stores selling the monster & tricked out PCs - If you can build an extreme PC and get pictures and video of it, then that might sell.

 

$47 might be a little steep for this product. I don't doubt that its a great guide but if your focus is trying to save money building your PC, paying $50 bucks to learn how to do it is kind of a lot.

For instance, if I can buy a premade PC for $700, or I can build a similar one for $600, I save $100 but now I'm paying $50 dollars just to learn how to build it, let alone all the work I have to do to put it together.

Thats just my take. I think this definitely has potential but you'll have to do some testing.

 

True. For most desktops for normal usage, people save around 100 dollars (I know this from building experience as I do multiple builds per month).

For people that are budgeting gaming PCs and server PCs, they can save literally 200+ dollars. I have also just added an upgrading to this because by upgrading, people have the potential to save literally HUNDREDS of dollars even on normal processing desktops!

I have also considered lowering it to $37 as well. I will just have to do some split testing with that. I updated the landing page a little bit to accommodate upgrading as well since there is huge potential in upgrading as well!

Actually you are quite wrong there with regards to this forum, many people will ask for review copies as there are a lot of serious affiliates here and generally the vendors know that there are good affiliates here and provide them with a free copy without any sales.

In fact I'm sure I've made at least 1 sale off every review copy that I have asked for all except one (obviously some products of sold a hell of a lot more) and that pisses me off, It's a good converting product too that I built a whole site around and for some reason I just can't sell a copy of it ....
