As "MeetHere" said, although I would say something that interests you, rather than an area of which you have expertise (whether there the same thing I don't know). Anyway, choose your interest, for arguments sake we will say you enjoy Tennis. So now you think, well If I was looking to buy some new Tennis equipment I would need a new racket, balls, netting, etc. As this is an area of which you have "expertise", you know which balls to get, or which brand racket has the longest life span and so on. What I am saying is play the role of the consumer, do this through everything from images of stock, to the way you package it. Now, being able to choose your products like that is in a ideal world. Of course, Capital will be your worst enemy, because you need a fair amount of it. Another thing you may run into is that some companies will only distribute their products to brick and mortar stores. There are a few companies like this, Nike being a well known example. To get legitimate Nike clothing, you need to go to Nike directly and this will mean having your own store. The best advice I can give you is avoid PS3's, Designer Clothing, iPods and similar 'in-demand products' like the plague! You won't get anywhere looking for those items.
