    Dear Friends

I intend to establish a new business in Japan. I am presently employed as engineer with a Japanese company. Is it legal to initiate the setup of new company without leaving the present job and without informing the present employer?

    Thank You

As long as it does not affect your current job, it shouldn't be a problems. the hard part is setting up a company in japan is not that easy, especially when you're not a japanese.

I don't see what problem can be with your curent job if you have your own business

    Thanks for the comments.

Regarding my plan: I have some technical expertize and I intend to train engineers and place them in relevant industry all around Japan.

    Regards

I'm not aware of any particular visa issues, but it's a competitive business and there's a lot of both Japanese and English-language targeted recruitment agencies in Japan.
