You need to change the design, it's lacking in appeal. And in firefox there are bits of unaligned pictures which seem to have broken.
The template of the home page is not so good and there is no more attractive effects in it. And also the font style for the content looks not so good, try to change everything in it..

Ok, Again thank you very much for your feedback, I really appreciate it. Didn't think its right to start a new topic so I shall just continue this one. If you could take another look that would be great as I have changed it alot. I know the content is not so good but I will be adding to it when the design is good enough. I seem to have trouble even thinking of anything pleasant on the eye although I think this version is not so ugly. There is lots I would love to do with this site but being limited on abilities its kind of hard. haha. I like the idea and content. I think talking and writing about something you love is great. My recommendation is that your site have a more web 2.0 feel to it. Seek out a template and avoid doing the really hard work, imo. I would lose the forum until you had a working site. You can always add it in later. I'm no expert and I don't pretend to be. It's clean, but feels like it's missing "structure." like a nav and content separation via wrapper divs, some type of content bg. Don't quite know how to explain it, just feels too open. Unless you are going for so clean that its unbelievably clean look. Then that's accomplished, otherwise nice.
It really lacks character. How about using one of the many, many WordPress magazine style themes? It would let you feature more content on the home page, which would attract the interest of your visitors without overwhelming them with too much (since the magazine theme would have already been designed in such a way to be less cluttered). Not that your site is cluttered. It's not. It's just dull. (Sorry!) Also, the magazine theme would have room for some great content on your site. Right now, the home page is sort of an introduction, and that's that. My first instinct was to click away.
