I just started a new bodybuilding site today

    Muscles Web

I just finished the front page, and i installed the forum and blog. Realize the design on the forum and blog haven't been done yet so don't comment on that part.

Im just wondering what you think of the name, the design on the front of the site, and the general idea/layout behind my site?

I just redid the logo on the front and installed a new custom theme on the forum. I'm trying to make the forum geared for more of a male "hardcore" bodybuilding community hence the look of the theme. What do you guys think of the forum theme and the front of the site, etc?

Anyone else got some opinions? I've put a lot of hard work into the site so far just getting it set up.

Thank you. I'm not very good at graphics design, but that is the best one I could come up with so far for my forum. The blog logo I haven't gotten even around to doing yet.

Anyone else got opinions? Someone offered to design my forum logo for free as promotional so I'm looking into that option.

I would add some more text to the index. It will help out a lot in the serps. Other than that I think it looks good.

Thanks, I was thinking that too, but couldn't think of much to say and at the moment. I wanted to get the designs and custome themes up before i worried about that.

I just put up a custom logo on the blog. I'm very proud of the blog logo as its the one of the best things I did. I think I need a better forum logo, but someone might help me on that as said earlier.

So far the only thing left is to get the forum logo redesigned and to add text to the front. Other then that does anyone else notice anything else? I want to make sure everything is smooth on all browsers(including IE 7 which I don't have) and monitors because I plan on putting a lot of work into the site.

Anyone have a wide screen monitor? What does my blog look like as I resized it to 780 width. I don't know how wide screen monitors deal with it so id be curious to know what it looks ok for the blog and forum on wide screen.

my IMHO: I would definitely switch dark background to the clear one. It's hard to stay and read/post on forum for more than 3 minutes if background is very dark. Font colors: do you know that red color is used in coffee shops (they usually paint just one wall in red color) so that people don't stay too long, but simply drink coffee and leave...

You have a point and I tend to agree with you, I have another forum which is whitish and clear. I decided on the dark background because I wanted this more of a hardcore "guy" type group for this website and I've noticed some other well known bodybuilding forums do well on dark background. The only reason why I picked this theme was because of the red in it. I would never pick the other black themes which are white and black. This theme is totally new and unlike anything I ever seen so I'm going with it. I should be getting a custom logo for the forum made so hopefully that makes it look even better.

I just created a new logo for my forum. Not sure what happened to the person offering the free logo seems like they flaked out, but I like my new one I made so this is the one im sticking with.

I resized the blog width to 780 to fit my screen, what does the blog and forum look like on widescreen?
