Hey, its me again asking for yet some more advice. Okay, so what I have so far is a blog related to Humor and entertainment, and already have 77 blog posts, and have around an average of 400 unique visitors day. The link is http://blog.advoor.net if anyones interested. Now the thing here is, because its an entertainment site, I'm thinking of posting games daily to my blog. I already have a games site with over 1000+ games so I have a LOT of content that I can add to the blog, with the daily joke, picture and video, posting games might be a 'step up' for the visitors but I think theres a better way to work around this. What I had in mind is set up another blog and post the games in the blog format, and then using the RSS poster plugin, all the games posted on the games blog would be posted on the main blog aswell, but since its separate at a point, marketing it would be easier. Plus linking back and forth between the blogs means shared traffic, added Tech-watever rank, PR strength and the ability to sell links on 2 different blogs meaning more money. Do you think this is a good idea and if this could work?
If you think you can capitalize on it, I say go for it...it sounds like an awful lot of work to me, but hey, as long as you are making money, why not? I would at least try it, and then if it doesn't work then you know not to mess with it anymore.
It's not really that much work. I've already got content sorted for my current blog enough for about 70 - 80 days (thats a joke, picture and a video for each day) so everyday its just clicking the submit button. My games site gets around 500 game plays a day (http://gamesdump.net- and as you can see the design is not that perfect and its not optimized. Putting it into a blog format will only take me around 2 hours setting it up, and then around a average time of 5 minutes a day grabbing a game form my site and posting it to my blog. On weekends, I can easily add about 50 games a day, so for the next 50 days all I have to do is click the submit button. What I can do then to kick start it, is to remove the games site and redirect ALL the traffic to the new games blog. Add some banner exchanges, use the free credits and then remove them. I think I can get around 2000 hits a day after about a month. The only problem is Ive been banned from Google in the past, so don't really have any ways to monetize the blogs. So far I'm using Text Link Ads on my current blog which has made no sales and using Chikita which isn't working well because thats more products based. I'm thinking to look for a partner, who has access to YPN or Google Adsense, add the code to the blogs, generate the revenue and then split the profit like 20:80 (since I will be doing the work). Anyone have an idea where I can find a person who would be interested in this?
You really need to consider duplicate content. I would recommend not splitting your efforts and only working on 1 site altogether. Thats my 2 cents. Personal Question advoor: Where is your traffic coming from?
