New Blog Design Review...please

    Hey guys. I just launched my new blog design for:

    http://www.standoutblogger.com

    and I would love to know all your thoughts.

    I am not sure if I want both recent and most popular articles sections up the top so any ideas on what else I could put there would be great.

    Like your design, however the content section is just too narrow and advertisement seems to be the main content at times. Also, your blog's post title really doesnt "stand out" lol... changing the CSS to make them bigger or of different color might get you more attention to the original content of the site. And, you wont really stand out as a blogger if you are not professional about blogging, and the fact that you dont use the more tag seems to add negatives in your blog. You also must get a good logo, otherwise you really dont stand out again. Lastly, your blog lacks one major thing and thats credibility! As for an example, your advertisement page says you dont accept advertisers but your left sidebar shows one can advertise for $10.

    I am just being honest here so dont go mad because I criticized you and your effort. It will only help you I really hope :) There are a lotta good things about your site, which I didnt mention... like say the design is nice overall and the determination... (though the content field is still way too narrow.)

    The overall layout and design of the blog is ok but the header looks cluttered.

    ergg only design is so good far ehh!!! :eek: i think he just started, so usually he forget many tiny errors

    richkid, your doing good ;) just keep it update with informational content...

    thanks! I am working on changing it back to two columns. I agree with godsofchaos that currently it looks to cluttered. So i'll keep you posed with changes.

    I just updated the theme. a few things I changed:

    1.moved the left sidebar to the right as well and made it has as thick

    2.increased the width of the main content area

    3. Changed post title to orange to make stand out more.

    would love to hear your feedback again!

    your content good.. but still there alot of colors as well ads there... i really don't like orange titles...
