New blog, already have an adsense account.

Hey all.

I started a movie blog a while back, and eventually got bored of it when I was only getting like 50 hits a day.

I recently started another blog, and it's getting around 3000 a day. I have added Adsense adds to it via widgets on blogger, but they are completely irrelevant, and after letting one sit there for 24 hours blogger still wasn't reporting anything on it. It's usually some google charity ad.

Do I have to add this website or something? I actually bought a domain for this one, so It's not .blogspot.com anymore, but still run through blogger. Is this possibly an issue? I don't see anywhere in the adsense control panel to add it.

 

I think Google Ads unable to find any relevant content ad type for your on-page content or website! make sure that your website must lie under good paying categories of Adsense

 

Is there a way to influence what kinds of ads it displays then? HElp it out?

 

How is the content on the pages? Adsense is tailored to the page content, so if there are no relevant keywords present, it is a problem showing relevant ads. Also, I would advise using adsense code directly from Adsense and not through widgets if only to better track your clicks and channels.

you just have to make sure your meta keywords and description have to do with your content. also be sure to have <h1> tags so google can confirm your main content

 

change your title and try again, if you are sure about the niche contact adsense support team, probably they will support you...

 

Changing the title worked, thanks guys. Hopefully this will allow me to upgrade the picasa account and stuff now. I know ponies aren't something that will make any money, but it's fun.

 

You'll probably get ads for that online horse game. I get those on all my horse/pony pages.

BTW it can take longer than 24 hours for the ads to get relevant, give it 2 or 3 days and if it is still awful that's when you start really tweaking. Before the crawler comes around it takes a best guess from title and meta tags.
