new bee for adsense in search$

I am new bee to adsense... in search of $

quick questions:;

1. which type of ads is good Image or Text ads ?
2. Does google pays for Just impressions ?

3 days back I opened Adsense accout, i got 600 impresssion and 27 clicks - make $ 9.5... is this good ?

that is not bad... I get around the same for one of my sites, some times less..

but yes it is good.
