Hello, I am very new at link building as a matter of fact the only link building that I have ever done is the link exchanges. I am trying to figure out how to get good quality one way links? My goal is I want to get around 5-10 high quality backlinks a week. The problem is I do not even know where to start! I had hired someone to get them for me and they got some but I really want to learn how to do this myself. I have been reading and I know that writing articles is a good way to get backlinks but I don't even know what website to post the articles on? Do the sites that I post the articles on have to be in the same field as my site? How else can I get good backlinks? Can someone please point me in the right direction? I have to start somewhere to learn this side of the business.:)

I wrote a recent article on link bait. Maybe it might help.

Also if you want some high quality links you can comment around on BurnDevelopments pages. I have been advertising like crazy and I am sure that the links from those pages will help.

Here’s how you can build some free one way links fast.

Search for free directory, website directory, submit directory, etc and you will find lot of results. Submit to as many as you can under relevant category.

Search for related sites where you can add links to. For example, if your site is related to football, then you can search for “football add url” or “football add link” and you will find some sites where you can add your link to.

Search for related blog articles and add relevant comments on the blog post. You can search for football add comment or football blog add comment, etc. be creative on your search terms to find variation of results. When you add comments on a blog, it is important to remember that you need to add some value to the blog post and submit related comment. DO NOT SPAM any blog

Search for free press release or submit free press release and submit your article to as many PR sites you can. You can add anchor text link on a press release article.

Submit to social bookmarking sites. Lot of SB sites are using nofollow these days so your link on them will not count but still there are some not using nofollow which will give you backlinks.

This will get you going for some time. Hope that helps.
