Hello, I have just finished high school, and Im in need for some pocket money to save up for a music instrument i have always wanted. I could really use some help if people would offer it, thank you. Firstly I am wanting to create a website because a friend told me he had made enough money from advertising on the internet, enough to buy a guitar, that he had always wanted, a Stratacastor (a very nice instrument). I had asked my friend how he did it, to make enough money from advertising, he said he uses google adsense. BUT he wont show me HOW to actually assemble a website where people can find the site with ease, for instance if they search for it in google, or get redirected from another site. Ive read different articles and methods on making money through advertising, but i am really confused as to how to begin. I know some basics of DreamWeaver8 but as i said before, I am really in need for someone to guide me in the right direction. I also have read different posts in this forum, one being that million dollar page thing, even that i dont understand, as to how this guy in the first place got TRAFFIC and how he got it so popular to start the spiral upwards. What im asking of everyone here is, 1. can someone help me on choosing a method which i can adopt and make enough pocket money? im not asking for $1000's, just say $50 in a month or there abouts OR even just to break even for the costs of domain/hosting. 2. after i have established a method, is it possible for anyone to help me get it spread around, meaning getting (as its called? reciprocal) linking? 3. IF and HOPEFULLY when i do get established with a method, and after a while i could repay these people who have helped me. Thanks a lot for your time in reviewing what ive written. Please if you think you can help me, feel free to contact me via msn: or simply PM me. Thanks again.
the design (you mentioned dreamweaver) is not as important as the content. pick a niche and write. the simplest way is to monetize your site via programs that pay per click (adsense, yahoo) or per impression (tribalfusion, valueclick), but they're not neccessarily the most lucrative. "26 Steps to 15K a Day" is considered sort of a classic starter piece. don't take it all as gospel (some of it really is no longer all that relevant), but the basics still apply and likely always will. couldn't actually find it on webmasterworld (where it originally appeared), but it's reproduced all over the place.
