Just got this email from google:

We noticed that you're not currently using AdSense for search, which means you may be missing out on revenue from your pages. Wenow offer more customization options for refining your searchresults and tailoring them to what your users are looking for, andwe invite you to give AdSense for search a try. As you may know, you'll be paid for valid clicks on the ads which appear on searchresults pages. Here are some of the new features you might be interested in:
•Site Search: We've heard that many publishers are concernedabout users leaving their sites through Websearch, and so now youcan choose to provide just site search. You can also host thesearch results on your own pages so that your users can find theinformation they're looking for without leaving your site.
•Improved indexing of your pages: We've recently improved ourindexing technology so that you can provide a more enhanced SiteSearch experience for your users. AdSense for search will nowindex even more pages of your site, as long as we’re able to crawlthem, so that your users will see more results from your site inyour AdSense for search results.
•Vertical Search: You can also allow your users to search acrossmultiple sites you select - this could be a network of sites thatyou own or other related sites that you think your users mightfind useful. If you write book reviews on your blog, for example, you can use vertical search to specify a list of online bookstoresfor users to search through.
•Refining searches with keywords: You can tailor your searchresults and ads to the content of your site, since search termscan have different meanings in different contexts. Let's say youmanage a site about yoga - you can enter keywords such as 'yoga,''exercise,' and 'meditation' so that when a user searches for'mat,' the search results and ads will be more related to yogamats and less to commercial floor mats. (You can see an example ofthis in our video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEwxC9hrxM4 .)In our experiments, we've found that this tuning has led to anincrease in earnings for publishers.
•Selecting ad location: Now, you can decide where to place yourads on search results pages -- whether it's at the top, bottom, orright side of each page. We recommend placing ads at the top andright side of the page, as we've found this monetizes the best forpublishers. To set up AdSense for search on your site, just visit your AdSenseSetup tab and select 'AdSense for search' as your product. Whenyou create a new search engine, your settings will be saved inyour account -- you can then go back at a later time and quicklymake any updates without regenerating the code. If you'd like to learn more about the new features available forAdSense for search, visit www.google.com/adsense/afs . We hope you'll give these new AdSense for search features a try,and we look forward to working with you in the future.
