In the old Analytics version, you could click a single date on the calendar and see what times those visits occurred. For instance, it would tell me I had X visits at 9:00 and X visits at 12:00. Is there a way to do this in the new interface? I can only get it to show me the whole month. I only want to see a day and the different hours of the day people are visiting my site.
Step 1 - select the day you want to report on in the date drop down Step 2 - go to Visitors > Visitor Trending > Visits, select Hourly More data here: http://blog.convurgency.com/620/google-analytics-visitor-trending/
On the top you can see date range, just click on the date and date a selector will open... The go on the visitors > overview > visits, at this level you can view then hourly traffic for the select date range.
Thanks for the help guys. I found it. I prefer the old interface to the new one. You shouldn't have to click through three or four things to see data that should be available on the first page.
Yea, this is all good, but i used to Love the old interface, where u got all of that right on the dashboard. It was nice to be able to look at visitors like from 3 or 4 hours ago, without having to wait a day. Personally I think the old interface was much better then this new one. They should of just kept both interfaces alive. I would of paid for the old interface too if they wanted money for it.
I would pay for the old interface too. Maybe if enough DPers petitioned Google something would be done to bring the old interface back.
Naw. I used to think the same, but now that I'm used to the new interface, I wouldn't trade it for the old on if you paid me!
