    Ellen Degeneres will be the replacement for Paula Abdul on the next season of American Idol, it was announced yesterday! I think she'll be great-throwing in some humor and her dancing steps!

    Can someone explain how Ellen is exactly qualified to be a music judge? They just picked her bcos she is popular with some and may draw extra TV viewers bcos Idol sucks and is a sinking ship

    All she has done is a tv show? Surely there are others better suited to the role.......

    Dang Idol is going down the drain fast. Here's a quote from Jimmy Fallon:

    "Ellen DeGeneres announced last night that she will replace Paul Abdul on American Idol," Jimmy Fallon tweeted. "Ellen seems confident about replacing Paula but, I don't know, she's got some pretty big prescriptions to fill," he added in another tweet.

    100% agree, I thought the same thing when I heard the anouncement. I'm trying to picture what it will be like with her as a judge and I just can't picture it lol

    I like Ellen Degeneres, but I think she's a poor choice for Idol
