Please check out my new humor website. It features all original cartoons and humor. :D

I realize that the code needs some work. I am mainly interested in your opinion of the content and appearance (but please feel free to rip on the code if you are so inclined! LOL!).

    Thanks!

Looks good. Maybe to much imagry and not enough text. Maybe organize the page a bit more. I like it though

I'd change the landing page, or get rid of it altogether. I understand you want to warn people, but you can do this on your site's main page.

You might want to work on the navigation so that it's split into categories depending upon the type of joke. Use text links. What I mean is, give people an idea of what's on offer with one simple glance at the page. Rather than keep scrolling up and down.

Otherwise, it's visually right for your target audience, I think. :)

your site have a lot's of to scroll -> bad thing

you must curtail your enter page -> not to have to scroll.

You could have a smaller site, a centered , not a full window size.

how did you named your pages ..
RF%20FAQ%20001.htm -> why you have this special characters..

call it faq.htm not like ->RF%20FAQ%20001.htm

Rather than using spaces, use a hyphen instead (minus, dash).

The landing page was a little to packed, took me a second to find out how to enter. The background on the main site hurts my eyes and the navigation bar up top has a border around it. Hopefully I don't sound like a jerk. Good luck!

Tried to look at the content and it was so slow to load I had to leave it.
Also it says its all original, then the first joke says its from a newspaper.

I really like the crybaby comments on the front though, and the crybaby logo.

I don't like the template, it doesn't suit the contents. The contents is very good and suitable.

Thanks for your comments. I can see how the background would bother some people. It is a little harsh.

I'm also planning on shortening/improving the landing page since other posters have also pointed out how cumbersome it is.

And, no, you don't sound like a jerk(lol!)! I want everyone to give an honest opinion.

    Thanks!

I didn't find the site slow-loading, but then I was using a 10mbit internet connection at the time. It's not particularly slow on 2mbit, either. However, the landing page (if you're sticking with it) needs to be more minimal. Mainly text and at the very most 2 images of about 3-5k each. But it's better to drop the landing page (IMO).

Otherwise, the visuals go with the kind of site it is. But you might want to optimise the images. For example, the text below shark gag.gif could be actual text rather than part of the image. By doing this, I was able to take it 26.9KB in size.

The same with 100 RC Logo.GIF. You can use css for the text's formating. Shadows can be done with css, too. this file could be reduced to 11KB (or less) by doing that.

I've noticed in your images that you're using the site's background. You don't need to do this; just make the background transparent in gifs. This will make the file sizes smaller, too.

    Good luck!
