Since 1996 my site www.nevis1.com has always been in the top three of page 1. Even yesterday I was ranked #2. (Searches on "Nevis" ) Today to my shock, I am listed at Number 7. I have not made any changes to the pages. Any ideas? There goes my adsense spending money:(

Google has been screwed up for about four months now. Welcome to the club. One of these days they might fix themselves.

Shows number 6 for me. Could it be simply that some sites have left the sandbox and surpassed you?

I spoke with my GF in Texas last night, and she was still seeing me at # 2, several friends globally also said the same. Today I looked and I was back at #2. Strange world we live in. At any rate thanks for all the info and tips! I learn soooo much just reading the forums here, what a great resource:)

Change your title tag and you will see the difference in a week or so. the Title tag should be more appropriate with

Try it if you can. You always have someone to blame if it does not work... that is if it doesnt ...

Check this command in Google: inurl:nevis1 (leave off.com)

Make sure these sites haven't stolen your title, or your content. This can cause your rank to drop also and a 302 redirect can cause your site to dissappear from the index--and when you see your rank reappear make sure it's on the same datacenter as it may be switching between datacenters and may actually still be dropping.
