Hey Guys, I've been racking my brain for the past few days trying to figure out why several sites of mine dropped in rankings, and stayed low. I've narrowed it down to 4 sites that I did a round of mass blog postings for (the same blog post on 200 blogs). (Why did I do that? lol) The sites that dropped ranking have way more link authority, page rank, and better optimization then the top ranking sites, yet now they are all on the 5th or 6th page. It has to be from penalization of duplicate content submissions.
People have argued this before, but from what I read, google doesn't like duplicate information. That's not a 'new algo change' though - I'm pretty sure that google has always suggested no duplicate content. From the Webmaster Guidelines: When I submit to directories or blogs, I always use a few different versions of the post to try to avoid this...
I think maybe it is due to some update by google at the moment. if it continues for more than 2 or three weeks only then you should be worried.
I don't know you are aware or not but posting same content in different blog is not the problem you can post in as many as blog but the problem arrive when you add a link of your website in it. Here's the problem start and you will be penalize for that so better remove link from all blog or Change the content and keep it unique.
