I know a lot of people are all excited about AJAX applications and how gmail and google maps work. Hotmail just announced that they will be re-launching its webmail service as an AJAX application as well. For those of us that run our own servers or host our own email, there is now an Open Source AJAX web mail program called RoundCube http://www.roundcube.net/ For those that don't know what AJAX is, its short for Asynchronous Javascipt and has become very popular because it allows web applications to behave more like regular desktop applications, without having to reload web pages and put stress on the server as often. Just thought people here might be interested. I'm sure AJAX applications is already a hotly searched term wih google, yahoo, msn
