New Advertiser - What cut does CJ take

I'm considering becoming a CJ advertiser and was wondering if anyone knew how large CJ's cut was on conversions. That is, what % do they take. They are pretty cryptic about this on their website (or I'm blind and can't find it).

    thanks

They take %30. I'm think it might vary a little though.

I assume you mean 30% of the publisher's take. For example, if I paid the publisher $100, I'd have to pay CJ $30.

    Thanks for the reply.

That's correct. There's also a setup fee of a few thousand I believe, a required deposit of the same amount to fund commissions, and a monthly minimum of $500 in fees (if you don't hit $500 through the 30% of commissions, you have to pay the difference).

CJ is definitely one of the most expensive networks for an advertiser. Unless you're sure you can meet the minimums each month, I would maybe try ShareASale instead. Their commission is 25% versus 30% and their monthly minimum is only $25 after a grace period. Of course, CJ has a larger network of publishers and probably some of the bigger fish out there so there are trade-offs. I'm a publisher on both and like the ShareASale interface better.
