We are putting up a new site on tuesday with a lot more features but our website is empirecovers.com. Its a small company connected to one of the largest manufacturer of automotive covers in the united states. We sell to everyone through retail. We have a good range of prices and nobody seems to be selling truck, van, and suv covers. THe new website will have a coupon maker and specials. We are also launching cj the same day. Our starting commission will be 13% but we can probably go all the way up to 17 to 20% and our Gross Profit would not be hurt too much. Any suggestions would be great. We sell many millions of dollars retail so we have the money to invest in CJ. We have great ads and i am here 24/7 to work with people. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you

    Hi Empire,

Welcome to the CJ network and to the DP forums. From empirecovers.com I'm pretty sure that you are making a good business joining CJ.

    Here my Tips:
    - Be friendly with publishers: they are your customers too now.
    - keep the Keywords link enabled
    - try different text links and banner links: for the text links be sure to write some content there.
    - Put for your self an objective for 07/2007 like have a 3-month-EPC = $60
    - be sure to have a performance incentive (can be a crazy incentive like commission increase of 2% for who sell $10,000 - but make an incentive).
    - Try to answer all publisher mails and messages within 2 business days
    - Try if possible to have a newsletter but do not send it every week
    - Be sure to pay the commissions that the publisher deserves.
    - Do not use auto disapprove filters for publishers that try to join your network

This is it: build a friendship relation with the publishers and all will be fine in with you in CJ.

I had a quick search and couldn't see any PPC ads on google for your site (maybe because I'm in the UK). Make sure you are using PPC otherwise your affiliates will take control of this area.

A quick suggestion for Empirecovers. It's helpful to note the currency of your posted prices. I'm in Canada and like to be certain the price is USD before I consider making purchaces. Most webmasters assume only Americams are reading their site and don't bother identifying their currency. If you want to look international you need to act international.

    Best of Luck.
