There are definitely "grey areas" that can be used to one's advantage, and this is true in any sales or advertising endeavor - not just on the Internet. For anyone planning on this approach, I'd suggest getting Google's approval first, much as this Webmaster did. It's much easier to do without a clever idea than to have to replace your AdSense advertising. Sam
i'm using the same technieque on a few of my site the classic adsense box with a set of graphics on the left.. works well have seen impressive clickthrough rates
Using images in conjunction with AdSense definitely can increase CTR. You just need to make sure that you leave enough space between the two, or include a border, in order to comply with the ToS. Sam
If it not a violation of Google TOS yet, there thousands of publisher will imitate this, and before we spell TOS, it will become a TOS
I guess this is againg the TOS of adsense....you can't point your visitors to the ads.... But using pics before the ads really help a lot in boosting your revenue! I did that in one my site http://fifa2006worldcup.org And my ctr jumped from 5% to 20%
Isn't the site http://www.searchenginecollege.com/articles/article-library.htm against the AdSense rules now?
