new adsense tos requires minimum visitors/clicks?

My friend told me that google have set a minimum number of clicks and visitors in their updated tos and websites that dont meet the minimum number will lose their adsense accounts. Now i dont know whether he was bluffing or serious, and i cant find any info regarding this on dp, can some one tell me whether this is true? (i have a feeling that he is bluffing since google will lose a significant number of publishers if this is the case)

Yes, they required you to have minimum amount of impressions and clicks :)
So if you are a publisher and inactive then bye bye to you. They are owning the WEB..lol

This is not new, it was added to the TOS back in 1995. You have nothing to worry about - they are just reserving the right, but they have never enforced it.

Hmm, I wasn't aware of this. Good to know, good to know... (especially when you are testing to replace adsense with something, the clicks go down...)

ok, first off, I really want to know who started this craze. This thing has been in the TOS for YEARS. People I know who have like 1 click every 3 months are STILL in the program. Hell, I havent even gotten my payout, even though i'm close, since i've made my account and I haven't been banned. I doubt you need to worry, unless you have like 1 view per year...

There is nothing to panic about, this clause existed much before the current revision of adsense ToS
Only thing to watch out is whether they will enforce the same now or not

So now it is not a good idea to create run of the mill get rich quick template based adsense sites

If they enforce it, then some quality and sense will return to the web ppc advertising arena

it can also reduce click fraud, since they will need to generate minimum impressions and then go around clicking-a lot more job for them-so that can reduce some publishers from that part of the net

Nothing new about this. It was there all the time. Google does not disable inactive sites, but when it comes to pay out, they will take all factors into consideration.
