Starting on Monday, adsense revenues have significanly declined. eCPM has decreased by 400% despite CTR and page impressions increasing by about 50% This has led me to believe that Google is showing less CPM ads and looking at the site, I can verify that this is definitely the case. So basically, google must have changed its algorithm to display less CPM ads. This might be helping some people, which is why there is a thread called "You are subscribed to this thread 2007 Adsense Paying More!" Who else got hosed by the new year?
I've seen a slightly lower cpm but nothing major - not sure what you mean by cpm ads, I thought that all adsense ads were cpc?
Hi, I have known in November this phenomenon. But in December at the contrary, rates have increased again. I don't know why. Maybe it works like Wall Street exchange. With keywords having different values according to the moment...
Hello Alex, i hope that by now your ads are doing a bit better and that you aren't concerned as much. Please not that what I'm going to say now goes out for 70% of the people around here and not targeted to you specifically: If people want success with Adsense, they are going to have to stop worrying and being obsessed with their reports, other's assumptions, and relating their earnings to something that isn't supposed to affect them. You guys have to remember we are only on the third day of 2007 and making confident speculations about CPM's and advertisers. Some are claiming a drop, while some are claiming higher earnings so far in 2007, keeping in mind of course that 2007 has started less than 80 hours ago. Let me give you one advice that will higher your CPM and earnings eventually: Stop over reading and over analyzing a system that could never be analyzed, work hard, and you'll see results. Allen.H
It's hard not to worry when you're accustomed to more than 150$/day and you start off the new year making 50$/day
Hi Alex, This is really a huge difference, however wait for a week to pass, and check the all over results before worrying too much. I am almost sure that you'll get far better results starting next week.
Maybe there's a difference in our approach then, i made over $150/day in the last 5 days of December, January yield me a total of $200 so far, but i know that's not because of a Google policy change or advertisers. Allen.H
Januare so far is also bad for me. I was getting average $0.17 clicks in december and in january they are below $0.05 I hope it will change soon.
I think google just plays with the payouts when they need to increase their bottom line for wall street....
even i am getting paid lower than i used to in dec. But we will need some time to analyse this. It might be possible that all advertisers are on holiday and no new money coming in ...what a crap theory have a laugh hehe
eCPM seems a little below average so far this month (over 4 days), but not a big difference, and it usally fluctuates that much or more daily anyway.
yeah, you can check by following the steps here: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=33973
Now it seems to be getting alright. Looks like my theory was right. Alex its not that the paused their account. every company sets advertising budgets during this time.It very likely that the ad budgets r getting finalised and we can see some money in adwords soon.. Around 15th Jan..everyone should have normal CPM
Are you completely relying on google for your main source of income? Can you diversify so you won't be as much affected when google lets you down?
