    Hey boys and girls,

I'm starting an AdSense forum on my blog's website.

    http://forums.adsense-fire.com/

You may recognize some of the forum headers. :)

I'm trying to figure out what I'm missing.

    What do you guys think?

You gotta start getting members, maybe offer a raffle if they sign up and post.

What kind of a raffle do you mean?

I have some D-Link wireless G cards I could raffle off, I suppose.

    Any other ideas?

I only have a few members so far. I'm not great at promoting forums. :)

Another way you can promote is have a thread that allows members post their shameless self promotion / advertisements about their site. Maybe you can allow members with atleast 10 posts or so to post in this thread.

Good luck with promoting your site and niice site design! :)

You sure do need more members. Try to some kind of a posting competition and award the member with the most post in a month or something like that...

I am pretty new to forum promotion myself but my suggestion would be to allow people to promote their own projects. Direct links in the sigs can really get people to start posting, it helps them and you by building content.

Create several members and start making threads yourself.
Get your multiple accounts involved in discussions.
Nothing is more discouraging then an empty forum.

Or take part in a post exchange. Or better... DO BOTH.
The more posts you have the more interesting your forum becomes.

I would also start a thread for each blog entry and summarize your blog postings in this thread. Then you should link each blog entry to these threads with "discuss this in our forum" and in your forum you should put a link in each thread "read the full version".

I also would suggest not using a subdomain instead put your forum in /forum/ and make it http://adsense-fire.com/forum/
This way searchengines like google will treat your blog and forum as one site, with subdomain you have 2 totaly separate sites for google and co.

    Good Luck

I agree with DaStarBuG on making up some members and making up some post to get rid of the 0's as well as doing the post exchanges.

I'm not sure that one site would be better then two sites though on the subdomain part.

Yeah, it seems like a good idea not to have zero posts. :)

I'm not sure I want to fake posts, but I definitely need to get people in there.

The question is - what makes them WANT to be there? :D

Interesting information makes them want to be there.

If you don't want to fake post then fill the forum up with your own post.

You are missing nice colorful legend icons, and you are overusing black borders.

Interesting. I'll look into the legend icons!

As for the black borders, I will definitely take that into consideration. Thank you. :)

I've heard that Google don't like people running Adsense ads on sites with "adsense" in the domain name.

Where did you hear that? I'm currently in an email conversation with Google about it.

Although, so far it's been very one sided. :) haha

Hey guys, I just added a 'Solicitations' forum for all of your AdSense related websites. Basically, you can advertise any website with AdSense on there. Solicit away!! :D

No one has taken advantage of the solicitations board yet. It will pick up soon though. :D
