Just got this email from adsense... I think it's a great new feature for siteowners to get the most out of ads.

It's just Google's PR machine telling you how they are going to make more money.

    Great news.
internetmarketingiq: Remember that Google earns big bucks on these ads (yes!). Bringing relevant ads on relevant pages is one of the most critical things to increase CTR. By optimizing your content everyone will get more relevant ads that will have a better historical CTR. Both this parameters is essential when it comes to both ranking in organic search results and in the adwords/adsense network. I hope Google will continue having this great focus.

I have also got this email. I don't know what that entails. Are they going to show ads that maximize Google's revenues or publishers' revenues. Only time will tell. For AdWords, there are two parties to split the revenue - Google and the publishers. Now we'll have three parties - Google, Publishers and the third party Ad Networks. Google is giving access to their vast network of publishers and they must take a cut for this. Also, no advertisers are going to pay more than AdWords. We'll see what happens.
