I have a total of 3 ads on my whole site and they bring in a decent amount that I'm happy with. Lately I've been getting alot more traffic so I'm thinking of adding another ad block. You can see right now the only ones I have are: Main page -footer Single Tutorial -2 blocks above the title -footer I have previously had ads on the right sidebar and they got the least clicks. I'm willing to add pretty much anything as long as the site still looks good with javascript (aka ads) turned off and it doesn't confuse users (just not a fan of those). Here is the link: http://pinkzap.com/ Any and all advice is welcome. Right now I'm leaning towards something in the header, but I'm not sure on how to go around doing it.
Based on my recent learnings, maybe you can add to the left sidebar...there seems to be plenty of room. I would put it between the categories and search. Hope this helps.
As per your current placements i am sure you CTR will be very low. Add them within content and make them not to look like ADS.
I get good clicks from them even if they do look like ads. I don't like confusing my users or bogging the site down and making it look ugly.
Why not try link units? Side bars or at the top or bottom of the articles. Do you think you could modify the logo so the top ad could share space with it so your content isn't pushed so low? Not sure how your template's done, but if you shift her up and stretch the blue space you could put a 234x60 under the raft and maybe have another 120x240 starting under photoshop & more, pushing the right menu down just a little bit.
Your images are wide than Post column area, so all anyone can see on 1024x768 is your Left nad navigation bar. Also your link units dont align well with your navigation bar. Check same link units and same placement at www.100cute.com
Thats how your home page looks When we scroll down then it show the content That happens when you have a wider images in post section that width of that section But if you wanted to have it this way then its fine
As i mentioned See teh Difference in Red Lines Its just something with design point of view, your navigation bar is less wider than link unit.
Good job with that placement. I think it looks fine at the momment. People here have been giving you good advice dont waste it.
