New Account Setup

In the manual you indicate that it is normal for a new account to have the "Establish Date" and the "Epiration Date" the same when a new account is created. But why isn't the new account istantly billing the new service? When I look at the records after a new account is created the Billing Cycle item is there but why hasn't it been charged on the credit card at the start of service?

When you created the new account, did you choose to make an invoice for it? Also, make sure it's not in Pending status.

Where do I make that choice? I don't see anything in the invoice preferences for invoicing "now"

    No.
All accounts are created with credit cards and setup automatically with nothing to pending.

Was it done in the normal GUI interface with the "Create New Customer" button, or some other method?

It was created from Optiskin's Salesperson login screen>create accounts
    Is this a problem?

Not really sure, I don't know much about it. What about if you do it with the normal Optigold web interface?

I tried it from the Optigold web interface. There isn't anything on Optigold's web interface different than Optiskin in the Salesperson login. There isn't any place to select "invoice now"

It should be automatic so long as your settings are right. Under the online signup web interface preferences, make sure you have it setup to automatically create invoices and bill the customer.

This is all setup properly but it is not working. Shouldn't it automatically invoice to the 1st of the month and bill the customer?

If you have prorating setup it would. Does it work if you do a normal online signup (not through the salesperson web interface)?

All my settings are right in both areas. Why isn't this working? Does anything need to be setup in server events?
All that happens when a new account is created is that the customer is created with the billing cycle item showing but no charges, and a Establish date and Expiration date showing the same date.

What if you create it through the isp.html interface, does it create the invoice and bill them from there? It's been a long time since I looked at the sales.html interface, since it was replaced with the isp.html interface some years ago. But just curious if it works for you from isp.html?

I am having the same issue. I have tried adding the new user using the add.html page of OptiGold Web and the user gets created with a establish date and expiration date set to the date they signup but they are not being billed or an invoice is not being generated for them at signup time.

Instead, they don't receive an invoice until I either manually run invoices or have the scheduled task create the invoice. I have the "Automatically Create Invoice" set to YES in the Online signup setup pane.

What other setting do I need to check?

Yes they do have a billing item and their status is "Current". Don't know if this matters or if anything has changed but we are running v3.3.3....

I have tried adding the user through the new user signup and the ISP Management Web interface with the same result.

And you checked the obvious stuff right? Like on the online signup preferences that an invoice is created?
