New account had 29 clicks first day, then no impressions next day. Under review?

I opened an account on March 30th, set up a campaign, and within an hour my ads were running. I receiving 29 clicks for the day and several hundred impressions. The next day, I only had 74 impressions and 0 clicks. Yesterday, no impressions and clicks.

Is this because my account is under review? If so, what is the average time to get approved? Just thought it was strange that my ads were running the first day, then nothing.

Still no impressions or clicks. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Any similar experiences?

Are you still getting traffic to your site? Something has to be wrong, in a way or another.

I think you better contact with them, they can tell you exactly what is the position of your campaign..

I will try, but it seems like every time I contact them I get back an automated response.

I've had something similar happen on an account. Ads ran for awhile, then I received a notice of capitalisation issue, had all ads stopped while I tweaked them a bit. It took days for the re-review and then the ads to start running again. Funny thing is, there is no indicator on any of the screens to confirm whether they are on hold/under review... they look active, but don't receive any impressions.

Yes...very odd and irritating. Google offers a lot of great services, but their customer service sucks.

Use the Ads Diagnostic Tool to learn the exact reason.

I've had this happening to me before. Thing is that if you're account is under review this is pretty normal.

Happens to me too - new campaign first day you get clicks, second day very few...and by the third day or so, virtually no impressions.

it's weird, and i didn't keyword spam. i only had 5 keywords and a very exact title, content and landing page. your campaign goes back to 'working' if you raise, and raise your bid though.

you can know the reasons by using ad diagnostics.

it will elt you know fo the exact reson why ads are not showing up,

are you clicking your own ads? i shouldn't be asking this but this is usually the number one reason of it.

What CPC was the average CPC for that keyword and what default CPC did you use to start? Usually , my strategy is to start at a default 2X the average CPC the Google tool tells you for that keyword, then I adjust the default CPC downwards the nxt day according to the average CPC in that ad group.

I had it on a manual bid of 75 cents for a day and nothing changed, then I put it on auto to see if it helped, and still no change. I have 14 different ad groups, and the first page CPC is anywhere from 30 cents to $5.00. Any suggestions?

FYI - I wrote AdWords customer service on April 2nd, and never received anything back...

If you have a $5.00 bid, then you got the "hard" Google slap. Which means there is something about the landing page that Google does not like.

Does the landing page have any "back button" pop-ups? Is the page reasonably relevant to the keyword you are bidding on?

I started off with an $8 a day budget when I started with about 10 keywords. Then I added several ad groups with 2-4 keywords in each ad group. Is it possible that it isn't showing my ad because I have several keywords and only an $8 a day budget set up? If so, what is the magic formula or daily budget I should use?

Again, the $5.00 slap bid tells me there is something about the landing page Google does not like.

    But besides that point,

Think that you have too many keywords for an $8/day budget.

You should start with 1 or 2 keywords per adgroup but no more than 5 keywords to test conversions.

You should never expand to too many keywords and adgroups, without seeing any conversions, thats just throwing away money!

However, this is not a reason for your Google slap....I still think there is something about your landing page that Google does not like.

The only thing that makes me think that my landing page is o.k. is the fact that my quality scores are pretty good. Pretty much all of them are a 6 or higher.

Didn't you write that you got a $5.00 slap to activate a keyword? Or was I mistaken?
