I just set-up an account today, got my Google API, and added the script for Yahoo and MSN. So far…nothing! The rank comes up with “N/A†on all 7 key words. All other data shows “0â€. I tried every variation of the URL I can think of twice. I have tried to activate one keyword ‘manually’. I tried at different times today. I clicked on ‘Check All’ at least 20+ times. What is wrong???
If you click on one of your keywords manually, do you get an error (in red)? What's one of the URLs/keyword combos you think it's reporting wrong (exactly as entered)?
When I click on a key word right now I get: "There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser. An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists. We apologise for any inconvenience." However I think this is just a temporary problem with the system. In the past when I tried it, there was no error AND no results. Here is a simple one that I am trying: Keyword: Efficient Business Systems URL: www.efficientbusiness.net (I have tried http://efficientbusiness.net and efficientbusiness.net and http://www.efficientbusiness.net and others).
I think that's caused by a dB error that others have been mentioning. There seems to be something wrong with the site. For myself though, Over the last few years the site's always been up so this is a bit unusual and not indicative of it's normal operations
The database error seems to be resolved however I still have the original problem - keywords are not showing a ranking. Trying to click on one keyword at a time does not work either. No error and no results! Help.
I get the N/A all the time as well. Funny thing is, I spend hours on SEO and link exchange.. Tracker is the first thing I look at every morning - most of my keywords and key phrases show N/A. This is getting pretty suspect since some of them are getting link backs from PR 6 and 7 sites. To add to my suspicions, I entered a friend's URL and the key phrases of his business. I was telling him that the search engines were not in fact even seeing him. He told that one of the phrases we were talking about was in fact #1 on MSN. I looked and it was - while the tracker says N/A. At that point, I looked like an idiot for talking about the tool. Exactly how does the database work? Sometimes, on a blue moon, when you kick the right side of your desktop - and only if you are running some obsure version of windows? It soulds like one of the old cars I owned during my teens! Most of the key phrases I have entered are N/A no matter what I do. How can we be sure it is giving accurate results? Are their other searches similar to this that offer a similar service - even if they charge it is worth knowing the results are valid.
Google has over 50 datacenters. Your site may be listed on one datacenter and not another. Over time tracker gives good results once your site is indexed on all datacenters. If you check all know datacenters you will not alwayse see site in same position on all. Hang in there. Shannon
Try removing your path to your advanced usage script and see what you get if you are running on shawns server. It only checks Google, by the way. Shannon
