New 2checkout accounts cost $10 monthly now, though existent accounts are still free

I have an old 2checkout account which is working fine to receive credit card payment on http://www.easycron.com.

Recently we built a new web app and want to register another 2checkout account, but learned that 2co charges $10 per month for each new account now. For low sale volume users, it's a big blow. Alexa recorded a disastrous drop on 2co's reach, I don't know if it's related to the fee revision.

Anyone using old 2checkout accounts here? Will you still use 2co if it starts charging the old accounts? Any alternatives to 2co?

    Thanks for sharing.

Hi there! I hope you don't mind the interjection. Thank you for the questions and feedback. We have been running promotional prices the last few months, they are not permanent. Also we will not be charging old accounts new rates. Old accounts are grandfathered into our standard rate. You can contact me at any time with other questions, my email is . I'm going to pass along your feedback as well.

It says $19.99 a month for under $200/month in sales.

It seems that the fee and % are not the same for everybody...

We're satisfied with 2checkout, though if they consider to drop transaction fees would be really great, as other processors (like Skrill, PayPal) are offering low rates and making us to think to move to their service..

2CO fee structure is a rip off. Seriously.

@ibanezgrx1 - we're sorry you feel that way. Our fee seems higher because we bundle everything into one flat rate to keep it easy. Our customers do not have to pay separate fees for a payment gateway and merchant account. Plus the blended rate includes all of the different types of payment methods including American Express and Discover that traditionally have higher costs. You only have to pay our flat fee whenever you make a sale. So in actuality our pricing is competitive.

Man I'm with 2checkout right now. Almost 80k in sales and you guys can't offer me a single discount. Eating over 20% of my revenue. I'll be moving to stripe if I can't get a good deal.

Otakuspot, That sounds really sad they're not offering anything to keep the interest in cooperation.
2checkout, we have our main currency set to EUR , so transactions are limited to VISA/MC cards only and should the fees be the same as with Amex and other cards? And your exchange rate EUR/USD seems also above the market rate..

Yah....This is why I tell people not to use 2CO. Since you are based in sweden, I would advice you to check out https://www.braintreepayments.com/ , which is used by some of the top brands of the world https://www.braintreepayments.com/clients oh! And pricing is almost half of 2 CO https://www.braintreepayments.com/pricing

If you are based in the US/CA then, its surprising that you went with 2CO. Go with Stripe.

Yes it's all one flat transaction fee no matter the payment method so Amex is the same as Visa/MC. Our FX rate is a little higher than market rate because it serves as a protection against the volatility and risk associated with FX markets.
