I'm very new to adsense, like less than 24 hours new. I have a blog and it has adsense on it. I have noticed on the forum that a lot of you have been at this for a while. I was wondering if those of you good at this adsense thing could look at my blog and point me in the right direction for success.

I'm no expert myself, but I have some good tips for you.

Firstly, the Google Search Box stands out too much. I recommend changing the background to black so it blends in more.

The Youtube box is in an awkward place at the bottom, and stands out too much. I recommend getting rid of it, or making it smaller and blend in more, because it ruins it.

The adsense for content ads are in a very place and blend in well, so well done for that.

    Hope I helped!

-Put the adsense ads in the first paragraph of your article.
    - Not to many pictures/photo cause your visitor usually attract to your picture than adsense ads.

You should try to contrast the ads by selecting a lighter background for them ;)

From a blogger POV, your posts are far too short. This could be why you are getting irrelevant ads.

Good luck and welcome to the fearful world of adsense.

If you're looking to do a lot of work with the blog + a lot of SEO, I just wrote an article about using blogspot domains:

    Invest in a domain name

As for your question, I highly suggest a layout change for highest AdSense earnings. I also agree with working on the content. If you need anything, just lemme know! (check the sig).

Live link to your blog so Google indexes it:

Sorry if it sounds a bit harsh :) But first you should make your blog interesting.

    1) You should not post some irrelevant test posts with keywords like 'mesothelioma' just because they are noted as high CPC terms. That kind of posts will make users lose faith in your blog.
    2) Have a menu with appropriate sections and make the posts in relevant sections. You will not get anything if you keep on posting all kinds of topics in this world. People like to see more structured sites that are easier to find relevant information.
    3) I did not like the blog background also. I thought it's not very professional. But anyway it's not a major problem if you feel it's okay. I suggest trying more professional layout.

    As per advertising,
    1) One AD must be before the first post if you really want to make some money (Either 336x280 or 300x250 ad) . Also possibly one AD immediately after the first post.
    2) Remove the BORDER for any ads.
    3) Change the Google Search box background color to match your blog color. It's toomuch contrasting with your blog background.

Couldn't agree more. Are you sure you're new to adsense? You must have done your research to find out that this keyword pays out well.

I know this is slightly different than the other advice on here, but I recommend getting a domain name and paid hosting.

Right now, you can get a domain name and 2 months worth of hosting for approximately $10 (they have a little sale going on).

You should be able to make $10 in the first two months if you put time and effort into it.

    I agree with Suri.CMS

blog need to have specific niche to get traffic. Unless you are paying your friend $1 per day for keep visiting yoursite to click on the ads..but then, google will find out and may get your account banned.

ads need to be blended well..but the important things is design..people will stay longer with a good design..simple design tend to bore people..even me.

keep on blogging eventhough you havent got much revenur from your ads..to make money, you need to invest money..in this case, money and time...invest some for buying a good domain matching your site/niche and put a schedule/goal like how many article per day will you put on the blog..

I would recommend using popunder as many people has ads blocker installed on their pc..dont just rely solely on adsense..

if you have extra money to spend, hire an article write to post a couple articles for you...
