well if the thread dies it dies , all i am trying to do is have a fair thread , 2 sites per member and you can only be stumbled if you provide your stumble id , as i know fine well nearly all the people involved in the other stumble threads ( just say they have stumbled your sites ) and then get theres stumbled .
there are allready 2 memebrs in my thread who have basically just not read the first post  even though the thread tilte ask,s for you to read it before posting :(

Yea that is normal,I started a thread to offer free blog post and stumbles in my new blog and I had simple to follow rules about having to add a description and I got a bunch of please stumble and just links.

I guess they see stumbles and they go blind with joy :D:D or they can't read

I don't want to sound hypocritical here. I use this site extensively for promoting my own sites. However, I usually learn how to, and buy links to promote my site on this forum. I think the stumble thing is kind of useless for this reason.

I once got over 5,000 stumbles a day on a particular site. Here are the results. I got a small fraction more in Adsense income, and practically no sales from the increased traffic from stumbles. I think the only thing the traffic from these kinds of hits is good for is to inflate the amount of hits received to your site in your logs to persuade buyers of links to buy links on your site. It is artificial.

That said. I do love the stumble model as a browser of sites that I love, but I hardly ever buy a product from a site I view. It is more for informational purposes. I never click an Adsense ad except for the very rare occasion.

Maybe I am paranoid. And I am open to suggestions otherwise, but I just don't want to see all the (to use a BSG [Battle Star Galactica] euphemism) frakking stumble me threads that waste the server space and inflate people's stats.

On the other hand. I am very close to the opinion of "If you can't beat them, join them." And you might see me stumbling my ass off like a drunk pirate in the near future. Hell, I don't know. Too much Shiraz. Forgive me.

You know what they say soju, "opinions are like assholes everyone has one" LOL:p
    J/k

I love to stumble and I find it fun. I do most of blogs and websites as a hobby so no harm no foul. I started the blog because I thought it would be fun and everyone gets a back link for free out of it including my own sites. I get a lot of traffic from Stumble-upon and I agree I don't get many clicks but is a nice way to get my sites and blogs seen. As you said if you can't beat them, join them. It's free and takes a couple of minutes and every penny you make from it is more than you had without it. Besides it is fun when I am bored. :)

If they are merged, it'll die down. Another reason it will fail is that most people will only post their urls and not stumble the urls in the entire thread.

    They always do LOL
This is so true I had one guy PM me after saying he stumbled everyone in the thread and asked how to stumble. I guess that proved that he did not stumble anyone.

I try to be honest and stumble who I say I will, once in a while I check to see if I was stumbled by them and half the time I am.
