Neverending Stumble Thread?

May you could put a neverending stumbleupon exchange thread in the B/S/T forum somewhere. You could maybe reset it every hour so it'd stay fresh, and it would get rid of a lot of those useless posts.

The post are not useless if everyone benefits from them. Who would refresh it every hour? Mods are very busy, I am sure they do not need more work to do.

I agree - all stumble threads should be merged into one. A third of freebies threads are stumble threads.

    Ever hear of a cronjob?

They're not useless, but it's pointless to make 10/day when you could just have a stickied fresh one every hour.

Theres not many things I agree with, BUT

This one I do, I never really go to the freebie section, but just yesterday I went in there to see what was actually there and all I saw was those dam stumble threads, I am NOT saying they have no value because hey to some they do ,

But we don't need 200000 of them.....

The time the thread reaches page 2 , no one is going back to page one anyhow looking at those sites......

The cron job, or the MASS thread is a good idea IMO

I agree, I am well and truly sick of the Stumble threads taking over the Freebies section.

I agree with this too. Someone should just make another site called stumbleforum.com
(All TLD's of this name are AVAILABLE)
stumbleme.net is open (as all others, not the .com)

Why dont we make a sub section for stumble threads under Freebies?

70% of threads in freebies = Stumble

I was just about to say the same ;) Shawn can add a new sub-forum for Stumbles/Diggs etc. but I suppose that would't make much sense either

    First come first serve.

Though, it makes sense as it'll make the main freebies section free:D

Yeah a Stumbles/Digg sub-forum would be good because looking at the freebies section screenshot above there was 13 threads and 10 of them about diggs and stumbles.

They are not useless but I think the forum has too much of them. I like the idea of having one stumble thread.

yeah i think a sub section for stumbles would be a good idea aswell , and it is an even better idea to have only one stumble thread going .
the best way to make sure everyone who joins in on the stumble thread has actually added all the mebers above them is to make it a rule that you must add your stumble account name = everyone can then see who has added who , and it makes it easier to gain a whole lot of friends .

IVE STARTED THIS ONE , with a few simple rules for everyone to abide by , lets see if i get many takers = http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=3206787#post3206787 , please join in

I have a good blog that is made for that purpose and you get both a stumble and to showcase your site for a free back link. It made page one in Google Search in less than two weeks for Stumble Exchange. Here is the site if anyone is interested:

stumble upon is giving thousands of uniques each day! and the members have already understood this!
but then, perhaps merging those threads into one big thread, is a better option:)

The one problem and the reason there are so many threads is because people want more than one or two sites stumbled. You limit to two sites, which I agree is fair but to get more, you have to join the other threads. JMO

Yours will be like all the rest, will go for three or four days and die out. If you try to bump it to keep it going, you will end up with infractions.
