Hey everyone Last night I came across some pretty cool stuff and wanted to share it for anyone curious about how over optimized anchor text works, or worries they might get one. So say you have a site about Surfboards called - WaveRider.com And you create a page about the new surfboard the "Radical X15" So your page title is 'Radical X15' and your permalink/URL is: waverider.com/radical-x15/ and the page description is: "Learn about Radical's new board the X15. Featuring all new shape and narrower rails for caster carving"... or whatever. So as you can see, the keyword is in the page title, URL, and description. Which is good. NOW So depending on how many backlinks you intend to point to the site, you need to change the anchor text to an extent. But you can use the exact keyword as anchor text SOME of the time. So say you run only 10 backlinks to the site. if 2 of them are "Radical X15" linking to the page on your site, that is OK and looks natural. But if you have 1000 links and 200 of them (still only 2% of all anchor text) is the exact same anchor text, this throws a HUGE RED FLAG for Google because this doesn't look natural anymore. So keep this in mind. NOW, if you want to use the same "Radical X15" anchor text 20% of the time, and your running more than about 20 links, you can do it, BUT you must alter it so do something like this - Radical x15 RADICAL x15 radical X15 Radical x-15 So it can be the same, just don't use the EXACT same when running more than 20 links. But for 10 links - 2 of them is FINE! Hope this helps and if you have any questions just post them here!
So you mean the case sensitivity in anchor text can create some difference. I wasn't sure about it! and thanks for sharing.
I recommend mixing in unoptimized anchor text links beyond just diversifying exact match anchor texts. Things like find out more info, learn more about us, visit website, review site and so forth. Have a natural looking backlink profile means using similar anchors that people natural use when linking to a website.
